Sarah grew up in Roeland Park, KS where she started playing soccer at a young age. She is the sister of Chris Hurlbert, who is a current coach of the club, and grew up surrounded by the game of soccer. She played club soccer for FCKC under Huw Williams, and also played at the State and Regional level. She attended Bishop Miege High School and later attended Johnson County Community College to continue her soccer career. She has been coaching for 9 years.
